"You're a Mess!" - My LLMD

A lot has changed since I've been on the road to remission with Dr. Talty.  Her extensive lab work resulted in giving me the answers to all of my ailments.  I remember her walking to into her office, and smiling as she told me I was a mess. In retrospect, her smile and affirmation that I was indeed sick, was morbidlly calming. The CD 57 showed I had Lyme present for over a decade...pushing me to being labeled chronic.  She started me on an agressive treatment plan of 3 different 500mg antibiotics (each twice a day), thyroid medication, and a plethura of supplements to help fight off the co-infections of bartenella and babesia.  Oh, and I have mold too! Yep, a mess I sure am lol.

As a new Lymie,  I wasn't educated enough on what to expect, or other options I could take in my treatments. After being on antibiotics for 6 months, I had a lot of time in between to do research. I quickly learned just how detramental this type of aggressive treatment could do on one's body.  I decided to take myself off the antibiotics and take the hollistic approach.  Sounds easy, right? Well, if anyone has had this type of treatment, you all know the after affects. I developed severe abdominal pain from the overuse of abx, candida, and extreme fatigue. These typcs of medications work hard on your body, so one can only assume it'll be an adjustment when weaning off.

I started taking other supplements for Lyme and my co-infections.  One is LB dragon, which I am not sure if it's working, but I don't feel as sick. I also take a dropper of ABAB which smells and tastes like nasty pond scum. Because I have mold, I also take multiple binding agents; activated charcoal, clay, transfer, and an anit-fungal compound. Seriously, I sound like a lab experiment waiting to go bad lol.

On a happy note, Miss Izzie seems to be back on her feet.  She completed her treatment plan and has her energy back. I always offer her treats in exchange for some hahaha! It hasn't worked, yet! But I genuinely am so happy she is better.  Even if I can't understand how vets can cure dogs and Drs cannot cure people, I won't give up.  Which will lead me into talking about my lab results after 6months of treatment.

It's amazing how much I have learned from day 1 of diagnosis up until 6months of treatments. I've learned: 1 in 10 people die from their co-infections alone, you can't fight off Lyme if you still have mold present, no treaments work the same for every person because not ever Lymie has the same symptoms, co-infections, or diagnosises. There is so much to bore you with, but one thing is for certain, you will spend thousands of dollars on treatments and you will always have cabinets full of drugs which will force you to feel 80 years old, while putting together your pill boxes at night.  So, back to my results. I was hopeful to have some positive results.  Instead, my CD57 level didnt budge and mold was highly active, still.  This was such a set back that I literally fell into a depression.
