What's Next? My Second Chapter.

As I had mentioned, my treatments haven't been working. The Dr said it's because the mold is still present in high levels. Without killing off the mold, it's almost impossible to continue with treating all of my other diseases. With that being said, I decided to reach out to other Drs.

I am a member of so many Facebook Lyme groups, that it's almost like I'm not alone anymore. For all of you new Lymies out there, I highly recommend joining for support, education, and just basic help. I've learned so much from seeing other people experience what I had just started experiencing. For instance, I started to develop some horrendously, burning rashes, around my eyes. This lasted for 3 solid months and no Dr could figure out what it was from. The group helped me narrow down what was happening and that's when one of my Lyme groups told me about Robinhood Integrative medicine in Winston Salem, NC.

I had lost all hope since that day my results came back unchanged. And then I lost even more hope, most predominately, my self-steem. The rashes made me hide away at home, and I became nothing but a shell of a person. I wasn't present with those who love me, or those who wanted to help. I really had no other option, but to try out this place everyone kept mentioning about. They offer alternative treatments to the normal western medicine approach (ozone, iv therapies etc). This was what I was looking for. A place that would treat the underlying problem, not my symptoms.

It was January 17th, 2018, when I finally got into Robinhood Integrative. It's such a buzz kill to think about how excited I am to go to Dr appointments now lol. But really, it was almost as liberating as when I got diagnosed...mainly because I knew there was hope again.

I had stayed at my sisters house in Charlotte, NC the night before, because the drive would be shorter. However, I never was the kind of girl who had good luck haha! The first snow storm of the year hit in the early morning hours. EVERYTHING had closed. A knot in my stomach started to form because I feared my appointment being cancelled. I didn't fear the 1hr drive that turned into 3hrs,  with multiple vehicle collisions, cars sliding off the road, or the fact that I didn't have 4 wheel drive in 10ft visibility.  Wow! I was so stupid! But after taking a tumble in front of the clinic, I brushed myself off and entered the second chapter of my journey.  Ozone therapy/dialysis.

Every Weds and Friday (of Feb), I will take you along with me as I show you what treatment is like, the feelings afterwards, and whether I believe this is working.

Lymies away! 💣💚
